Harry Linley Richardson was born in London in 1878. He studied art at Westminster and Paris, and arrived in New Zealand in 1907. He taught at Wellington Technical College and in secondary schools.
Harry Linley Richardson was born in London in 1878. He studied art at Westminster and Paris, and arrived in New Zealand in 1907. He taught at Wellington Technical College and in secondary schools.
Richardson specialised in portraits, but also became well known for printmaking and stamp design. He was commissioned to paint portraits of First World War Victoria Cross recipients. In 1928 he moved to Palmerston North.
Richardson died in 1947.
